This continuing education course equips clinicians with the skills and knowledge to effectively support Black women who embody the Strong Black Woman archetype. Holding Grief While Holding Others: Attending to the Clinician’s Grief in Clinical Practice  - November 13, 2026

This experiential, virtual workshop invites clinicians to attend to the often-unspoken grief that accompanies clinical work. Participants will explore multiple forms of grief—cumulative, ambiguous, racialized, collective, and professional—while examining personal and systemic factors that shape how clinician grief is held or silenced. Through guided reflection and pair or small-group dialogue, clinicians will deepen awareness of how grief shows up in their work and bodies. The workshop concludes with participants creating a simple, sustainable grief-attending ritual to support longevity, presence, and ethical care. 2 SW CEUs are available. Belfast Mental Health Practitioner Trip 2027: Mental Health, Trauma & Healing in Divided Society - June 27-July 3, 2027

Mental Health, Trauma & Healing in a Divided Society is a unique, immersive continuing education program that examines the complex relationship between mental health and divided societies through the experience of Northern Ireland. Taking place in Belfast, the program brings mental health professionals into direct dialogue with leading experts, local practitioners, trauma survivors, and communities navigating the complex legacies of conflict.
