About the workshop series:

Each individual has a different reason for desiring to become a Social Worker. From advocacy to social justice, being a Clinical Social Worker can be exhilarating but also anxiety provoking. Oftentimes, we discover all too quickly that there is more we wish we had known. This 5-week workshop series was designed to address many of the areas that we as Social Workers, new or seasoned, wished we had known when entering this profession - things we could have asked our professors, Practicum Instructors, peers, and mentors in the field. For those who are in Graduate School or have recently graduated, this workshop series was made specifically for you. Over the course of five weeks, we will be discussing the following topics:

  • Knowing Your Value: Salaries; Advocating for yourself with your employer; Looking for employment within the field; Imposter Syndrome
  • Boundaries & Self-Care: How to establish, maintain and reinforce boundaries; Self-care to prevent burnout
  • The Battles within Social Work: Social justice & the external system; Your employment internal system; With and for your clients
  • The Realities of Social Work: Self-disclosure; Diversity of Social Work practice; Networking
  •  Life Beyond the Masters: Clinical learning; Finding a clinical supervisor; Owning your own practice; DSW/PhD

With the above as a starting point, we will share knowledge, experiences, questions, advice, and support under the direction of CSWA Board Member and experienced LCSW, Stacy Triumph. Register today for this exclusive small group workshop series. Space is limited.
