Why Should You Join CSWA?


The Clinical Social Work Association is an individual membership organization that protects the interests of LCSWs at both the state and national level. Invest in your professional credibility and personal development by connecting with CSWA's network of clinical social workers.

Annual Membership Dues: $150

          • Must have a Masters or Doctoral degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
          • Individual is currently engaged in social work practice.



Annual Membership Dues: $25

        • Must meet the requirements for General membership.
        • Individual is retired or retiring, and/or works 20 hours or less per month in the field of clinical social work.



Annual Membership Dues: $75

        • Must be a new graduate of a Masters of Social Work program from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
        • Membership in this category will begin from the date of graduation and continue for no more than four (4) years.



Annual Membership Dues: $150

        • Must be a Masters level mental health professional.



Annual Membership Dues: $75

        • Must meet the requirements for General membership but also hold membership with a CSWA affiliated society. Memberships with other social work associations do not apply. Please check to make sure your organization is on the list of affiliated societies before registering for membership using this category. 
        • Please note that CSWA and the affiliated societies are different organizations, and individuals must obtain a membership for each in order to hold membership with both. 


Annual Membership Dues: $25

        • Available to any student currently enrolled in a masters or doctoral degree program in a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. 
        • Must register utilizing a school or university email address.
