About the webinar:

This workshop will explore The Theradelic Approach book and provide an overview of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and its potential for alleviating anxiety and depression. We will briefly explore Sunny Strasburg's PANTHER method, an acronym for how to prepare for, facilitate, and integrate psychedelic journeys. Sunny will discuss innovative ways to integrate trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, into psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. This workshop, hosted by Sunny Strasburg, LMFT, will provide clinicians with her insight as a trainer to explore this multifaceted form of care. Sunny will showcase her expertise in combining protocols to promote post-traumatic growth and integrative healing for clients. Please note that PowerPoint Slides will not be provided for this program and this program will not be recorded. 


Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this webinar participants will be able to: 

  1. Classify the current research on psychedelics as it pertains to clinical therapy. 
  2. Explain the PANTHER method for facilitating preparation, psychedelic journey support, and integration. 
  3. Describe an overview of MDMA, psilocybin and ketamine therapy.
  4. Compare principles of trauma-informed care to other therapeutic modalities and their importance in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. 
  5. Appraise the importance of therapists receiving psychotherapy and practicing self-awareness to provide effective psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

    About the instructor:

    Sunny Strasburg, LMFT, a licensed psychotherapist, educator, and pioneering author, specializes in psychedelic therapies and advocates for future technologies serving social good. As the founder of The Theradelic Approach, she equips clinicians with trauma-informed psychedelic-assisted therapy methods, blending IFS, EMDR, archetypal psychology, trauma-informed care, and her extensive experience. Her debut book, The Theradelic Approach, delineates these innovative methodologies, elevating therapeutic standards of best practice. Sunny catalyzes transformation among AI, technology, business, investment, and entertainment leaders, fostering empathy and connectivity.

    Collaborating with Dr. Richard Schwartz, she creates impactful experiences that inspire compassion and creativity. Having served as Clinical Director for VR mental health projects, she gained firsthand experience on the ethical challenges of these technologies. This has inspired her to pursue opportunities to ensure responsible AI development. Sunny's expertise resonates through engagements at The IFS Conference, SXSW, EMDRIA, Psychedelic Science, IFS Conference, and The Expanded States of Consciousness Worldwide Summit.

    This live webinar is fully interactive. Attendees may ask and answer questions throughout the presentation and participate in instructor-led discussions.

    To earn 3 CE credits, participants must log in at the scheduled time, attend the entire course, complete and pass an online post-test and complete a course evaluation. Certificates of completion will be provided once the evaluation is submitted. This program will not be recorded.

    CE Provider Information:

    Clinical Social Work Association, provider #1719, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 8/23/23-8/23/26. Social workers completing this course receive 3 clinical continuing education credits.
