Presenter: Laura Groshong, LICSW, CSWA Director of Policy and Practice
Description: This webinar is an update to the webinar conducted by CSWA a year and a half ago. The election of President Trump has led to personal and professional challenges that most LCSWs had never experienced before. We heard our clients express a new level of anxiety and depression about the direction of our country. Our own initial anxiety has turned for many to depression.
We have seen how this administration has hurt immigrants, especially by separating children and parents. Constant attacks on the Affordable Care Act have created higher premiums while chipping away at the complex system that has made the ACA work for millions of citizens. The recent Comparative Billing Report from Global Tech representing Medicare has made many CSWA members question whether they want to continue being on the Medicare panel. So has overcoming the helplessness that many feel as social workers who see our work and values as demeaned and attacked.
The upcoming elections may offer some hope for change and sanity. Come hear what experts think will be happening in November.
CSWA is here for you in these difficult times! Join us to continue to try to make sense out of the sometimes inhumane, mainly chaotic, times that LCSWs face, in and out of our offices.
CSWA is offering webinars that will provide LCSWs with assistance in the following ways:
